The gorge Maganistra starts near the top of Limni and near Agios Dimitrios in Varsamakia, passes through the deserted settlement Pateriana and ends in Lousakies after a course of 3 km. On both sides the peaks of Kouvara and Profitis Ilias rise. It has water until the beginning of summer and the course in it is of moderate difficulty. The river of the gorge, after joining with other smaller streams, ends in the town of Kissamos.
