Mikronissi beach

At the southwest edge of Mikronissi islet with the lighthouse of Agii Pantes, opposite Agios Nikolaos city, just at the point where there is a small pier for the boats, we meet the beach of the island. The beach is located in an ancient carvied bay and there is access through a stone staircase.

Giorgakis beach

Giorgakis is one of the many beaches in Ferma area, formed below very steep cliffs, but it can be accessed by stairs. The short descent leads to one of the most beautiful beaches of East Crete, with fine pebbles and rocks that form caves.

Dafnorouma beach

Dafnorouma beach is located in a hard to reach area between Bali and Skepasti, province Mylopotamos. The name Dafnorouma comes after the words daphne (Nerium oleander) and rouma (stream). It is named after the hundreds of oleanders found in the stream that ends up in the sea.

Voulismata beach

Between the palm forest in Vai and the beaches of ancient Itanos the small beach in Voulismata is formed. Voulismata is the most remote beach in the area and you will almost never find anyone here, as the only way of access is to walk alongside the coast and there is no road reaching the beach.

Kamboula beach

The part of the beach west of Listis to the river Anapodaris is called Kamboula. The river is one of the most important Cretan wetlands. The long beach Kamboula is very beautiful, with lovely pebbles and crystal blue waters. This area is no organized, however a very few rooms and apartments have been built in the last years.

Dragonada Beach

The island of Dragonada is the largest of the islands Dionysades in the open sea of Sitia. On the island there is a small harbor, next to the temple of Saint Anthony and the only house on the island. This tiny harbor hosts a tiny, but very beautiful, beach with sand and rocky bottom.

Leska beach

Some meters west of Koutelos beach, there is the secluded beach of Leska. Its name means “Steep Place” or “trap” in Cretan dialect and is taken after the steep cliffs around the beach. It is a pebbly beach with sand in some places, while on the west there is a very small cove with stony seabed. It can be accessed mainly on boat, as walking along the coast from Koutelos beach is risky due to the collapsing grounds and the high cliffs.
