Very well hidden at a dense grove with oak trees and ancient olive trees is the cemetery church of Agia Kyriaki (Saint Kyriaki) at Labiriana, Selino district. The very small settlement is just 2km away from Kandanos. Agia Kyriaki feast takes place on July 7, and dates back from the 14th century or maybe later.
It is decorated with frescoes of the 14th century and there is an inscription mentioning the date 1405. It was a temple with very rich wall frescoes, but today most hagiographies are damaged. We can discern Saint Panteleimon, Evangelism, Panagia (Virgin Mary) and the founder's devotive inscription. If you look at the chapel from the outside, it is very simple and has some modern additions. In order to find the temple, one should follow the signs from Kandanos village, through a very nice route.
