Holy Apostles monastery at Lassithi Plateau
On the way to Aloida in Lassithi Plateau operated during the Turkish Era a small male monastery dedicated to the Holy Apostles (Agii Apostoli). When in 1823 Hasan Pasha attacked Lasithi from this side after having burnt Kritsa, his troops passed from here and destroyed the monastery. The monks who survived moved to the monastery of Panagia Kroustallenia and the monastery was deserted.
