The fountain of Yenitsar Aga is located at the starting point of the Avenue Ikarou, below the epigraphy collection and opposite the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion. It was originally embeded outside a beautiful mansion on the corner of the streets Markou Avgeri and Paleologou, which was demolished in 1980.
The relief cock is located inside an arch-shaped structure, surrounded by two large pillars with rosettes. The water was collected in a marble sink with rich relief decoration.
