The Venetian church of Agios Nikitas (13th century) is located approximately 300m NE of Fragokastelo castle, on the ruins of an Early Christian Basilica of the 6th century. The walls bear frescoes from the Venetian era.
The current temple has been built with materials from the ruins of the basilica. We can still see two columns on the walls.
At the courtyard of the present church there were signs of the walls and the mosaic floor of the basilica, which are preserved in good condition in museum. The three-aisled basilica was 26m long. On the floor there are geometric shapes, plant and animal depictions.
