Just south of the village Tsourouniana of province Kissamo we meet the ruined church of Christ. The area is called Katalimata (Lodges) as indeed in this area there are remains of an ancient settlement with piles of stones and shells of ancient ceramic vases scattered around. In Katalimata there is also the deserted and destroyed today church of St. Demetrius. The church of Christ is a small, single-aisled vaulted church which should be built in the Venetian period.
The church of Agia Paraskevi is located southeast of the village Argoules, above the small stream that ends on the beautiful beach of Agia Marina. It is a small single - nave, arched temple that has undergone a draft and inappropriate restoration with cement, as the southern wall had collapsed and its murals were in danger.
The church of Panagia in village Platania, Amari province, is located in the center of the village and is a single-room vaulted temple with a semi-cylindrical arch. It is dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary and celebrates on the 15th of August.
Ο ναός του Αγίου Νικολάου βρίσκεται σε αγροτική τοποθεσία βόρεια του χωριού Μουρί της επαρχίας Κισάμου. Ανήκει στον αρχιτεκτονικό τύπο του απλού σταυρεπίστεγου και χρονολογείται στον 13ο αιώνα. Εξωτερικά έχει υποστεί μεγάλες αλλοιώσεις, αλλά ευτυχώς εσωτερικά διασώζει μεγάλο μέρος του τοιχογραφικού διάκοσμου στις τρεις από τις τέσσερις κεραίες που αποδίδεται σε λαϊκότροπο αγιογράφο του 14ου αιώνα.
Ο ναός των Αγίων Αποστόλων Πέτρου και Παύλου βρίσκεται στην τοποθεσία Κάτω Καρκάσα στην περιφέρεια του χωριού Ανατολή Ιεράπετρας. Ο ναός αποτέλεσε το καθολικό της ερειπωμένης σήμερα Μονής Καρκασίων, από την οποία σώζονται ελάχιστα ίχνη κτιρίων νότια του ναού. Η μονή Καρκασίων είχε στην επικράτειά της και το ναό του Σωτήρος στα Κάτω Καρκάσα.
Above the seaside settlement of Keratokambos rises the steep hill of Kerato, also known as Kastri or Vigla, on which the ancient city of Kerea is believed to have been built. Vigla also hosts the impressive cave Nychteridospilios (meaning Bat cave), which was used as a sanctuary during the antiquity.
Ο πρώιμος Βυζαντινός ναός του Αγίου Θεοδώρου του Στρατηλάτη βρίσκεται στο Χόνδρο της επαρχίας Βιάννου, στο σημείο όπου υπήρχε το παλιό κοιμητήριο του χωριού. Ο εξωτερικός χώρος έχει διαμορφωθεί σε όμορφο ευρύχωρο πάρκο.
The church of Agios Nikolaos is located in a centre of the village Malles in the province of Ierapetra and at first glance one thinks that it is a modern temple. However, the church dates back to the Venetian period but has undergone extensive restoration works, both externally and internally.
