Ο ναός του Μιχαήλ Αρχαγγέλου ή Αστράτηγου βρίσκεται σε αγροτική τοποθεσία πολύ κοντά στο χωριό Κούνενι (σημερινή Βάθη) και ανήκει στον αρχιτεκτονικό τύπο του μονόχωρου καμαροσκέπαστου. Εσωτερικά ο ναός φέρει τοιχογραφικό διάκοσμο του Ιωάννη Παγωμένου.

Ο μικρός μονόχωρος ναός του Αγίου Μάμα βρίσκεται βόρεια του χωριού Καπίστρι ή Σταυρός της επαρχίας Ιεράπετρας, πολύ κοντά στη Μονή της Παναγίας στο Γουρνί και στο ναό της Αγίας Σοφίας.
Στον κοιμητηριακό ναό του χωριού Νευς Αμάρι στην επαρχία Αμαρίου βρίσκεται ο μικρός μονόχωρος καμαροσκέπαστος ναός των Ταξιαρχών. Ο ναός χρονολογείται στην Ενετοκρατία και πάνω από την είσοδο, εξωτερικά, σώζεται συστοιχία πινακίων (στρογγυλά διακοσμητικά κεραμικά) σε σχήμα σταυρού.

Το χωριό Σταυρός Ιεράπετρας, γνωστό με το παλαιότερο όνομα Καπίστρι, διασώζει αρκετά μεγάλο αριθμό ναών, γεγονός που υποδεικνύει την ακμαία του πορεία στο παρελθόν. Ένας από τους πιο εντυπωσιακούς ναούς του βρίσκεται λίγα μέτρα νότια από τον οικισμό και ονομάζεται Κάτω Άη Γιώργης.
