Pitsoulakis Str and 2 G. Karaiskakis Str., Heraklion
The museum of National Resistance «Manolis Badouvas» is open since 1967 and was established by the Association of National Resistance Fighters – Badouvas Groups. It is housed in today’s Heraklion army recruitment office, the land of which belonged to the rebel of National Resistance, chieftain Manolis Badouvas.
The exhibits come from the rebels of national resistance (1491-1945) or their descendants. In the museum you will see a lot of weapons, machine guns, photos of fighters, copies of documents between the Allied Forces and the Greeks, and German documents.
