The deserted monastery of Saint Onuphrius (Agios Onoufrios) is built on a steep ravine of Asiderotas range with vertical cliffs, next to a spring with cool water and below a waterfall (dry in summer). The place has amazing views to the sea of Triopetra.
Around the cavernous church we see the old cells of the monks. The church celebrates on 12 June, the feast day of Saint Onuphrius. Next to the church, there is the empty grave of the monk Gerasimos, who lived in this hermitage in the middle of the 19th century and was regarded as saint by locals.
