Klimata (i.e. vines) is located 45km south of Rethymno city, next to the popular beach of Korakas, near village Rodakino. Korakas and Klimata are separated by a short rocky cape. Klimata is a small bay with three consecutive beaches. On the west side of the bay, there is the small harbor of Rodakino, accessed through a cement-paved road starting from Korakas. From there you can easily reach the first beach, situated just next to the harbor. To reach the rest two beaches, you have either to walk there through the first beach, or follow the dirt road connecting Korakas to Souda beach at Plakias.
Klimata is not organized at all, only Korakas beach is. All three beaches have fine pebbles and crystal clear waters, while in some places, the rocky seabed is suitable for snorkeling. You will not probably find anyone here, apart from a few fans of seclusion or naturism. The name Klimata (i.e. vines) is taken after the vines that used to be cultivated on the surrounding slopes.
