The two beaches of Perivolakia (Small Perivolaki and Large Perivolaki) and the beach of Timios Stavros are three adjacent coves, located 2.5km west of Chora Sfakion and 74km south of Chania city. The beaches are located in a very mountainous area, in the middle of the distance between Glyka Nera beach and Loutro, on the European footpath E4.

The first beach (on the west) is called Small Perivolaki, the second one Large Perivolaki, and the most eastern beach is called Timios Stavros.

The beaches are pebbly and with big rocks in places. The beaches are secluded and generally prefered by naturists. They are also ideal for snorkeling. There are no facilities nearby (Loutro is 1km on the west). Moreover, there is no natural shade nearby (rocks or tamarisks), thus it is necessary that you have your umbrellas with you. The only way to access the coves is either by walking the path that leads from Loutro to Glyka Nera (1km) or by boat.

Just a few meters on the west of the third cove, called Timios Stavros, you can visit the small chapel of Timios Stavros (i.e. Holy Cross). On the site where the chapel is built today, there was a Venetian fortress, ruins of which still exist today dispersed around the church.
