The beach Amoudi is located about 1.5km east of Chora Sfakion and 75km south of Chania, in an area with several adjacent pebbly beaches and very close to the nudists' hotel Vritomartis. It is one of the many unknown beaches around Chora Sfakion, and one of the nicest.The area, due to conglomerate rocks, is full of small pebbly beaches, such as Agios Charalambos, Filaki and Plakakia.
The beach Avlaki is located at the exit of the gorge Avlaki in Arkoudovounia area, Cape Meleha, about 16km east of Chania. The access (especially the return) is quite arduous, as it takes about an hour's walking on downhill cobblestone path.
Dafnorouma beach is located in a hard to reach area between Bali and Skepasti, province Mylopotamos. The name Dafnorouma comes after the words daphne (Nerium oleander) and rouma (stream). It is named after the hundreds of oleanders found in the stream that ends up in the sea.
Kallikovrechtis beach is located 19km west of Ierapetra and 4km east of the picturesque town of Myrtos and can be reached via asphalt road from Myrtos or Tertsa. The beach belongs to the periphery of the village of Ghodia and is formed at the exit of the Kalikovretis stream, formed between the summits of Kolechtos and Kako Oros.
The island of Dragonada is the largest of the islands Dionysades in the open sea of Sitia. On the island there is a small harbor, next to the temple of Saint Anthony and the only house on the island. This tiny harbor hosts a tiny, but very beautiful, beach with sand and rocky bottom.
The main beach of Nea Chora is very well organized, with several amenities nearby. It is a nice sandy beach, with rocks in some places. Nea Chora is ideal for those that do not want to leave the city centre.
Kastri is located 72km southeast of Heraklion, in the sheltered bay of Keratokambos. It is the biggest of the two settlements of the region (the second is Keratokambos), which are now united. In recent years Kastri has faced a considerable development, mainly because the surrounding beaches are a magnet for visitors.
Petres (i.e. Stones) beach is located at the east end of the vast beachfront of Episkopi, 46km east of Chania and 13km west of Rethymnon. It is named after the imposing Petres Gorge that ends here. All around there are some facilities such as rooms, restaurants, a diving school, etc. In the cove of Vythos, which lies north of the others, there are umbrellas and it is less sandy
Atherina beach is located about 70 km southeast of Agios Nikolaos and 34 km east of Ierapetra, shortly before we reach the seaside village of Goudouras. To approach it from the shore, from the main road walk along the narrow and deep dry stream, which drains the Vigla region.
Giorgakis is one of the many beaches in Ferma area, formed below very steep cliffs, but it can be accessed by stairs. The short descent leads to one of the most beautiful beaches of East Crete, with fine pebbles and rocks that form caves.
The beach of Lykos is quite rocky in relation to the nearby Finikas and hosts a small pier where the boats stop, but is open to the south winds. Generally, it is not something special as a beach, but absolute tranquility and rich seabed make exploring this isolated place a nice experience.
Leprias or Lepries is a small pebbly beach located at Kalokambos area, about 73km south of Heraklion city, amidst the wild and majestic landscape of Asterousia Range, southwest of the summit of Kofinas. The beach is formed in front of a steep dirt slope, which crumbles and collapses like the leper's skin, therefore it is called Leprias, after the Greek word for leper.
Glaros Beach is located 5 kilometers west of Chania city and is the coastal front of the village Kato Daratsos in the province of Kidonia and in the area of Makris Tihos. The beach is bounded to the west by Kalamaki and to the east by the beaches of Agii Apostoli.
At the southwest edge of Mikronissi islet with the lighthouse of Agii Pantes, opposite Agios Nikolaos city, just at the point where there is a small pier for the boats, we meet the beach of the island. The beach is located in an ancient carvied bay and there is access through a stone staircase.
Kera beach is located around 20km east of Chania city, on the south shores of Souda Bay and close to the picturesque village of Plaka. The beach with the soft sand and some pebbles in places is situated in a wonderful landscape, with towering cliffs around.
Between Kalogeros beach and the harbor of Maschalis (the west port of Agia Roumeli) some beaches are formed in caves that the locals call them Caves in Marble. These caves are formed in the whitish hard rock of the area and constitute a unique hideout for nature lovers. They can be accessed easily either by a canoe from Agia Roumeli or even by swimming.
Kalivaki is the westernmost beach of Georgioupolis bay, located 38km east of Chania and 21km west of Rethymnon, near the exit of Almyros river which has water all year round lies the nice beach of Kalivaki. It is a beautiful sandy beach and water, due to the rivers is very cold.
At the point where the prefecture of Rethymno meets Chania, east of Georgioupolis beaches, we find the beaches of Kavros and Kournas. The place at its greatest part is developed and only a very small part of it has been left untouched. Between this remaining virgin parts of the beach there is an extensive and very important ecosystem of dunes.
The beach of Agios Antonios (Saint Anthony) is located in a quiet bay, 2.5km east of Sougia and 68km west of Chania, in one of the most remote places on Crete. The surrounding area is called Charéi, thus you might hear many locals calling that like this.
