The two-aisled church dedicated to the Holy Trinity (Agia Triada) is located a few meters SW of the homonym archaeological site. The temple dates back from the 14th century and was the main temple of a village that existed here during the Venetian Era.
Το μικρό, αλλά πανέμορφο, Φαράγγι του Καλιακουδέ σχηματίζεται στην περιοχή ανάμεσα στα χωριά Παϊδοχώρι, Νιο Χωριό και Μαχαιροί της επαρχίας Αποκορώνου. Αποτελεί ουσιαστικά συνέχεια του ρέματος της Σκοτεινής, το οποίο είναι και παραπόταμος του Κυλιάρη Ποταμού. Το φαράγγι έχει μήκος μόλις 1.5 χλμ, αλλά έχει περίπου 6 καταβάσεις και η διάσχισή του απαιτεί τη χρήση τεχνικού εξοπλισμού (σκοινιών), η μεγαλύτερη από τις οποίες έχει ύψος περίπου 8 μέτρων.
Στην είσοδο του γραφικού χωριού Αϊτάνια Πεδιάδος Ηρακλείου, όπως ερχόμαστε από την Επισκοπή συναντάμε το γραφικό ναό της Παναγίας Καρδιώτισσας. Ο ναός είναι κοιμητηριακός και είναι αφιερωμένος στη Γέννηση της Θεοτόκου. Πρόκειται για ένα πολύ γραφικό εκκλησάκι, από τα πολλά που στολίζουν την ευρύτερη περιοχή της Επισκοπής η οποία είναι ένα ανοικτό βυζαντινό μουσείο καθιστώντας την μία από τις πιο ενδιαφέρουσες σε ολόκληρη την Ελλάδα.
The church of the Archangel Michael at the deserted settlement of Vlahiana dates back from 1447 and is maintained in good condition. It is a double-aisled church with decors on the exterior of the entrance and a weird window at the back. There is a tomb of the founder of Vlahiana, Georgios Vlahos, who fighted against the Turks at the side of the Cretan hero Daskalogiannis.
Mount Orno is located in the province of Sitia and its highest peak is Spathi at 1238m. It includes the area of Kapsas to the west and the mountains of ancient Praesus to the east, while in the south it is separated from the range of Thrypti from the Bebonas valley.
Монастырь Св. Параскевы расположен за пределами деревни Фурни и сейчас заброшен. Рядом с маленькой церковью с одним нефом виднеются останки здания монастыря, основанного до 1615.
